Pima Air & Space Museum offers 2 types of virtual tours:

  1. Custom-created (activated by clicking either of the top 4 photos on the previous page).

  2. Google Street View (activated by clicking the Outdoor Planes photo on the previous page).

  1. Custom: When you click on a custom virtual tour photo on the right, after the panorama loads (comes into focus) the tour will begin panning in a 360 degree arc. To progress, click on a "circled arrowhead" to move in the direction indicated or skip to specific locations using the map at the lower right-hand corner. (You are the light blue fan shape on the map.) Names of the planes will appear on the map as you hover your cursor over an aircraft. You can also cruise around using the tool bar arrows at the bottom of the page. You can stop/start the motion by clicking on the "3/4 circle arrow" tool. As you browse a panorama, be sure to take in the full 360 x 180 degree field of view; there are often interesting sights and exhibits above and behind, and sometimes below you! You can look around a number of ways:

For desktop users, click and drag the image to change your point of view, and use the mouse wheel to zoom in or out. iPad users can look around by simply touching and dragging a single finger across the screen, and can zoom in or out by pinching or spreading two fingers on the screen.

Again, the tools (the series of buttons along the bottom of the screen) provide alternative means of zooming in and out and panning the view. To return to the Pima Air & Space website, click on your web browser's back arrow (near the website address at the top of the page).

  2. Google Street View Google Street View was kind enough to photograph our outdoor airplanes for free! Operate this tour by clicking on the white arrows that appear on your screen.
